The system for
your needs
Sierra Studio, the heat exchanger selection program developed by Sierra, is available online and ensures the continuous updating of Sierra’s technical and productive capabilities, offering customers all the possibilities to define the most suitable product “tailor-made” independently but always in close collaboration with Sierra’s technical team.

Features of Sierra Studio
Analytical Checks
Display the performance of a heat exchanger with defined geometrical properties and thermodynamic conditions.
-
1
GEOMETRY
Definition of the geometric characteristics of the heat exchanger (e.g., tube type, fin pitch...). -
2
THERMODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Definition of the internal (e.g. inlet fluid temperature) and external (e.g. air temperature) thermodynamic characteristics of the exchanger. -
3
PROCESSING
Calculation of all the thermodynamic characteristics of the heat exchanger. -
4
RESULTS
Display of the thermodynamic parameters of the heat exchanger. Data export in Excel format.
Parametric Checking
The software calculates the performance of the heat exchanger in different geometric and thermodynamic configurations. Results are presented in both tabular and graphical formats.
-
1
BASELINE DEFINITION
Geometric and thermodynamic definition of the reference heat exchanger. -
2
PARAMETRIZATION
Defines the variables to be parameterized. -
3
PROCESSING
Calculates all combinations relating to the indicated variables and stores them to be made available to the Customer. -
4
RESULTS
The results are summarized in both tabular and graphical formats.
Dimensioning
Sierra Studio proposes the best heat exchangers according to the Customer’s needs and allow the Customer to choose the most suitable.
-
1
GEOMETRIC CONSTRAINS
Setup of the possible heat exchangers dimensions. -
2
THERMODYNAMIC CONDITIONS
Setup of fluid and air thermodynamic parameters, both internal (e.g. inlet fluid temperature) and external (e.g. inlet air temperature). -
3
TARGETS
Definitions the thermodynamic goals of heat exchangers, as well as the cost and the energy efficiency targets. -
4
PROCESSING
Research of all best possible solutions for the heat exchangers requested by the Customer. -
5
RESULTS
The results are displayed by tables and graphs format, where the most suitable heat exchanger can be identified.
