Certification according to Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) N° 2014/68/EU for Category II

During the month of December, Sierra achieved the certification according to Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) N° 2014/68/EU for a group of heat exchangers in Category II, intended to be used with Group 1 fluids and characterized by PS 45 bar, TS -30/+125 °C and maximum DN 38 mm.

The achievement of this certification demonstrates Sierra’s continuos commitment to expand its product range and it strengthen Sierra’s offer for customers oriented to A2L and A3 class low GWP refrigerants in medium and high capacity refrigerating machines and heat pumps.

Sierra UL and CSA certification update

During the month of December, Sierra updated UL and CSA certification with two important news:

The introduction of a new Ø7 mm diameter tube
The addition of 18 new refrigerants, among which R1270, R454B, R454C and R513A

The introduction of these features strengthen Sierra offer for customers operating in North-American market and oriented to low GWP refrigerants.

Chillventa 2024

Save the date: Sierra is at the Chillventa fair.
We will be present with our stand n 7-226 in Hall 7 to present highly efficient and reliable products and solutions. In particular:

Tecnical solutions for the use of natural refrigerants such as propane (R290) and C02 (R7449) to carefully follow and satisfy all the customers’ requests,developing together with them “products for specific application.

New production processes for the production of folded exchangers. Greater flexibility, dimension and production safety for a better product to meet the customer’s needs.

Range of surface treatments available to make the exchangers compatible with the needs dictated by the operating or installation conditions: to improve the performance of evaporating exchangers, ensure protection against corrosive phenomena and take care of the aesthetic of the product.

Sierra is, as always, a further step forward with our attention to increasing the quality and reliability of the product for the new challenges of the market.

OFFSITE CORPORATE – Trip to Vienna, 01st – 04th of August 2024

Sierra has always thought about the well-being of its employees,
rewarding their dedication to work with an optional award trip. This year, the
destination chosen for employees who completed 25 years of seniority during
2023 was Vienna. Three intense days, spent together with Aermec colleagues to
visit the city with a guide who explained the most significant places and
characteristics of museums, baroque churches, castle, palaces, cafes, and
typical Viennese restaurants. All the major attractions of the Austrian capital
were an authentic, rewarding experience for the participants to remember.
